Tit-for-tat gang retaliation
Investigators believed Davien Graham — shot and paralyzed in front of his church in Monrovia in 2008 — was the victim of a war between black and Latino gangs. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department task force ultimately connected dozens of shootings — some fatal, others leaving no one injured — to the conflict. Below is a summary of those crimes.
